The most popular attraction in this park is the thunderous Murchison Waterfalls that forcefully squeezes itself through the narrow gorge of about 8 meters.

Day 1: Pick up & Travel by road to Murchison Falls National Park, rhino trek en-route

Begin your early morning with a delicious cup of tea/coffee in your respective hotels. After the hefty breakfast, you will meet your professional driver guide for a short briefing about your enriching Murchison Falls National Park game viewing safari. You will then board a 4×4 safari vehicle with a pop-up roof when ready for a memorable road trip to Murchison Falls National Park in Northwestern Uganda.

Today’s road trip will take you about 6-7 hours’ drive through the Kampala-Luwero highway with en route stopover to be made at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Located in Nakitoma, Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary will be the only place for you to enjoy rhino tracking experience. You will have about 2 hours of exploring Ziwa and later, you will continue to Murchison Falls Game Park via Masindi-Kichumbanyobo gate.

Drive through the lush rainforest at the park standard driving speed while keeping eyes on some of the freely roaming wildlife and birdlife. Before you connect to check in your lodge, you will pay a visit to the top of the falls, observe it its breathtaking scenery and while it forcefully squeezes itself in the narrow rock measuring 8 meters. After the photography moment at the top of the falls, you will be transferred up to your respective lodges for relaxation.

Day 2: Guided game drive in the savanna game track and boat cruise

A delicious cup of tea/coffee will be followed by an early morning game drive with an expert present. Today, expect to explore the Northern game tracks of Murchison Falls National Park for 2-3 hours in a 4×4 tourist vehicle. The exciting morning game drive comes with great sights of wildlife including lions, hyenas, elephants, Uganda Kobs, Rothschild giraffes, warthogs, waterbucks, and many bird species.

Return from the game drive along the northern game tracks and have a leisurely lunch plus some relaxation. Later in the afternoon, you will be picked up when ready for a boat cruise which also will go for about 2-3 hours. The afternoon launch cruise will be conducted on the Victoria Nile up to the base of the falls. Between the Jetty area and base of Murchison Falls, expect to have a clear view of aquatic species such as hippos, Nile crocodiles, and aquatic bird species. The water birds you will be spotting on the Victoria Nile boat cruise include the beautiful kingfishers, bee-eaters, fish eagles, and more.

At the base of the falls, you may take a hike to the top about 45 minutes. This can only happen when the water levels are low.

Day 3: Drive back to Entebbe or Kampala from Murchison Falls Park via Luwero

Enjoy a hefty breakfast in your respective lodges and after, check out of your accommodation. Today, you will be transferred back to Kampala or Entebbe about 6-7 hours’ drive inclusive of stopover at Luwero for you to purchase some fruits. Proceed to Kampala/Entebbe city for you to be dropped off to the hotel or catch up with your departing flight at the Entebbe International Airport (EBB). Today will mark the end of the special 3 days Murchison Falls safari tour in Uganda.
