10 Days Uganda & Rwanda Safari

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe, Uganda

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, where your guide will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day relaxing, or take an optional visit to the Uganda Wildlife Education Center to get an introduction to the region’s biodiversity.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Depart early for Murchison Falls National Park, known for its incredible landscapes and diverse wildlife. Stop at the top of the falls for panoramic views of the Nile as it forces through a narrow gorge, creating a spectacular display of rushing water. Continue to your lodge for the evening.

Day 3: Game Drive & Nile Boat Safari

Enjoy an early morning game drive on the northern bank of the Nile, with opportunities to spot lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and other wildlife. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise on the Nile River to the base of Murchison Falls, where you’ll see hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species up close.

Day 4: Kibale Forest National Park

Travel to Kibale Forest National Park, home to one of Africa’s highest concentrations of primates. In the evening, settle into your lodge and prepare for the next day’s primate adventure.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Swamp Walk

Embark on a guided chimpanzee trekking expedition through Kibale’s lush forest. Witness the fascinating behaviors of these primates in their natural habitat. In the afternoon, explore Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary on a guided swamp walk, where you’ll encounter unique bird species and local flora.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Head to Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for its diverse ecosystems, including savannah, lakes, and forests. After check-in, enjoy an evening game drive to view elephants, antelopes, and other wildlife against a stunning sunset backdrop.

Day 7: Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Pass through scenic landscapes, including the Kigezi Highlands, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Africa.” Prepare for an unforgettable gorilla trekking experience the following day.

Day 9: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

Set out early for a gorilla trekking experience, guided by local rangers through Bwindi’s dense rainforest. Spend a precious hour observing a gorilla family in their natural habitat, witnessing their behaviors and interactions—a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Return to your lodge for a well-deserved rest.

Day 10: Transfer to Kigali, Rwanda & Departure

Travel from Bwindi to Kigali, Rwanda, with beautiful views along the way. Upon arrival, take a brief city tour, including a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, before being transferred to Kigali International Airport for your departure. This 10-day safari is a captivating journey through the landscapes and wildlife of Uganda and Rwanda, offering memories that will last a lifetime.
