Day 1: Kigali City tour & travel to Volcanoes National Park in Musanze
Enjoy a delicious cup of tea/coffee at leisure in your respective accommodation. After the hefty breakfast, get briefed about the entire 4 days gorillas and golden monkey tour package. Later, you will also have highlights of your Kigali city tour. On your Kigali city tour, expect to explore interesting sites including the Kigali memorial site, craft shops, presidential palace museum, and others.
After a rewarding Kigali City expedition, you will be transferred to Volcanoes National Park in Northwestern Rwanda. The journey to Volcanoes National Park will take 2-3 hours and you will be using a 4×4 tourist vehicle with a professional driver guide present.
Enjoy a safe drive to Volcanoes National Park with en route mesmerizing views of rolling hills awaiting for you. When you reach Volcanoes National Park, proceed to the pre-booked lodges to check in for your relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking & relax
Have a hot cup of tea/coffee and later, proceed to Kinigi to meet the park official for briefing on gorilla trekking guidelines and safety measures. The briefing also includes allocation of park ranger guides and gorilla groups. At exactly 8:00 am, you will be escorted through the bamboo/rainforest to search for a group of rare mountain gorillas.
The gorilla trekking adventure will take you about 2-6 hours and includes a special one hour for your interaction with a group of mountain gorillas and photography.
After the thrilling encounter with the rare mountain gorillas in the jungle, you will get back and have the rest of the evening in your lodge.

Day 3: Enjoy a guided golden monkey tracking and Iby’Iwacu Village tour
Have a hefty breakfast at the comfort of your lodge and after, you will head off to Kinigi for another briefing session. Today, you will have insight into the golden monkey tracking rules and regulations. At around 8:00 am, your park ranger guide will take you on a captivating golden monkey trek and today, your focus will to encounter the rare golden monkeys.
You will spend about 2-4 hours to search for a golden monkey troop and upon finding it, a maximum of one hour will be set for you to observe how golden monkeys behave. This is a special moment to also take pictures and later, you will return to chill in your respective lodges.
Late in the afternoon, expect to depart from the lodge for your cultural tour. This will involve visiting the gorilla guardians’ village (Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village). The guardian village is a local community initiative that was commenced by the ex-poachers. You will have great entertainment from locals’ unique dances and cultural dances. Besides the dances, you will also have a chance to explore the distinct traditions and cultures of the Rwandese living in the area. After the cultural experience, return to spend the rest of the evening at the lodge.

Day 4: Departure for Kigali Capital
Enjoy a delicious cup of tea/coffee and after, you will leave Volcanoes National Park. Drive out of the park to Kigali, 2-3 hours’ drive and on reaching the city, you will be dropped off at the hotel or airport. It is today that brings to an end the 4 days gorillas & golden monkeys.
