8 Days Uganda safari tour offers you a lifetime opportunity to enjoy a thrilling mountain gorilla trekking adventure combined with other exciting wilderness experiences. Besides gorilla trekking, this trip package also covers chimpanzee tracking, game drive, boat cruise, and nature walks.
The different destinations to explore include Bwindi National Park, home to over 120 mammal species comprising over 459 mountain gorillas. Bwindi provides refuge to more than 23 habituated gorilla groups which survive in the different regions or sectors. The park also shelters over 202 butterfly species, 350 bird species, and many floral species.
Queen Elizabeth National Park will offer you the best of guided game drive and boat cruise. Queen Elizabeth Park is home to over 96 mammal and 620 bird species. The various wildlife that live in Queen Elizabeth Game Park and you should expect to encounter include elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, hippos, lions (including the tree climbing lions), waterbucks, and others.
Kibale National Park is home to more than 13 species of primates and 375 bird species. The park boasts of over 1500 chimpanzees that survive in the same habitat with other primates like red-tailed monkeys, olive baboons, vervet monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival & transfer to hotel
Meet your driver guide at Entebbe International Airport and today, you will be transferred to hotel for relaxation. At the hotel, you will have ample time to chill and also prepare for your safari the next day. It is today when you will have the first briefing from our company representative.

Day 2: Transfer up to Kibale National Park via Mityana
Transfer from Entebbe City to Kibale in western Uganda and expect to spend 5-6 hours’ drive. Enjoy a scenic drive on the Kampala-Mityana-Mubende route and on arrival at Fort Portal for lunch. You will be transferred to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 3: Engage in chimpanzee tracking & nature walk in Bigodi
Have a delicious breakfast and after, report to Kanyanchu Visitor Centre for briefing which will be done by park tourism warden/official. You will be allocated a park ranger guide who will lead a group comprising 6 visitors. The morning chimpanzee tracking session will run from 2-4 hours and includes one hour for up close and personal encounter with chimpanzees.
Kibale also protected additional 12 primate species and multiple bird species most of which will be spotted on chimpanzee trek. Return from the chimp trek and settle for a leisurely lunch. In the afternoon session, you will be taken to Bigodi wetland for a nature walk that will run for 2 hours where you will encounter more primates and birds.

Day 4: Kibale to Queen Elizabeth National Park, experience the best boat cruise
At leisure, expect to enjoy breakfast and after, you will head off to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This will be 2-hour journey characterized by great views from scenic Crater Lakes, Rwenzori Mountain ranges, and vast plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park.
There will be a chance to make a stopover at Uganda Equator crossing. Continue to the park to enjoy a leisurely lunch and later, proceed for the afternoon boat cruise. The Kazinga channel boat cruise will get you exposed to hippos, crocodiles, and water birds.

Day 5: Game drive & transfer to Bwindi with Ishasha game drive
After having breakfast, expect to embark on a guided game drive. Drive through Kasenyi track where you will have the best guided game viewing. Myriad of wildlife will be spotted along Kasenyi game track including buffaloes, lions, antelopes, leopards, hyenas, and bird species. You will get back to have lunch and connect to Ishasha sector where you will search for the tree climbing lions. From Ishasha, transfer to Bwindi National Park for relaxation.

Day 6: Gorilla trekking with a park guide & Batwa community visit
Have a delicious cup of tea or coffee and later, proceed to the park offices for briefing about gorilla trekking regulations. The briefing session also covers allocation of gorilla groups and the park ranger guide. Expect to take about 2-6 hours which includes one hour for you to explore in depth about behaviors of mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.
Expect to return for the park official to award each of you the gorilla trekking certificate then you proceed to the lodge. In the afternoon, you will end the day with the Batwa community walk.

Day 7: 2nd gorilla trekking and relaxation
Today, you will have breakfast and after, you will have another session of gorilla trekking adventure. You will have a chance to track another gorilla group to explore more about behaviors of gorillas and taking pictures. The rest of the evening will be for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 8: Departure
Breakfast early morning and after, expect to check out. Today, you will be picked up and exit Bwindi for Entebbe city. Today marks the end of the 8 days gorilla safari tour.
